EDIT #1 (fifth July 2021): BE AWARE that in that location have been a number of reports of the DJI FPV Goggles V2 going to a black screen / rebooting mid flight with the new firmware installed. See post #17 andpost #23 in this thread for details.
EDIT #2 (15th July 2021): DJI have today released another updated firmware version (v01.02.0001) for the DJI FPV Goggles V2 that supposedly fixes the consequence with the goggles going to a black screen or rebooting mid flight. Come across post #35 in this thread for details.
DJI have today released the following new DJI FPV firmware. Note that these are updates for the DJI FPV Drone arrangement and the V2 goggles only. None of these are updates are for the standalone DJI FPV System (Air Units / Caddx Vista) or the V1 goggles.
One important fix included for the DJI FPV Goggles V2 is to address the nasty low power issues that has been discussed in some other thread Here.

Ian has posted the following video which runs through the changes and fixes in this firmware update...
I take a ready of these goggles in the mail forth with 1 of the new Caddx Air Units... Will be interesting to see how my experience is getting it all going.
I recall at that place beingness a 1200mw power mod that you lot could do putting a file on a SD bill of fare or something.. Tin can yous do this with the V2 goggles in V1 mode however?

Yes. The V2 goggles utilise about the same firmware equally the V1 goggles when using them with the standalone FPV System, so all the same hacks (and bugs) withal piece of work / be for the V2 goggles.

From the information I accept read and watched, I believe that all of the firmware changes are in the DJI FPV Drone role of the firmware (the one we don't actually use for the Air Units and Caddx Vista), and to update that you will demand to connect your goggles to the DJI Fly app on your mobile phone and then practice a firmware update of the DJI FPV Drone firmware on the V2 goggles.
EDIT: The new firmware does appear to be updatable via the DJI Assistant 2 software on your computer, so I don't know why yous guys aren't seeing information technology. Tarek merely posted the following video showing the update procedure. It's not articulate from the video just perhaps you need the goggles to be in DJI FPV Drone fashion when you connect them to your calculator, so endeavour doing that. I accept the V1 goggles so I can't verify that myself unfortunately.

perchance information technology depends on state or something
information technology changes bootloader priority so it is good update fifty-fifty withoud dji fpv drone just in cause someone may lost activation again

Did you endeavour changing your goggles to DJI FPV Drone mode before hooking it upwardly to the DJI Assistant 2 software? I'm not sure if you saw the EDIT in my previous mail service video stating that.

Someone on RCG has confirmed that the V2 goggles do need to be put into DJI FPV Drone style, then the new firmware for that mode will appear in the DJI Banana 2 software. Equally already previously mentioned, It is only firmware for the DJI FPV Drone that has been updated to fix this effect. There are no changes to the standalone FPV System manner which still currently has v1.00.06.06 as its latest firmware version.
When connected to the goggles, the DJI Assistant 2 (FPV Series) software only shows firmware for the mode that the V2 goggles are currently set to - either DJI FPV Drone mode, or standalone FPV Arrangement manner (for Air Units and Caddx Vistas). And so depending on which way firmware you want to update, y'all demand to switch the V2 goggles into that mode first.

So, no fix for the early on trouble of activating without drone?

In Tarek's video (come across post #7) he seems to suggest that the firmware update does too fix the activation event and that as a result he will exist halting the shipping of his DJI FPV Drone "brick" that he has been sending out to his customers to help them activate their goggles.
I just wish DJI would likewise invest some time fixing the outstanding bugs in the standalone FPV System mode firmware and finish the half-broiled Betaflight OSD integration, but it doesn't look like they volition always do that. Information technology appears that two dissimilar areas within DJI are responsible for firmware evolution and information technology was the DJI FPV Drone firmware development team who fixed the depression ability and activation bug. A firmware evolution team might not even exist for the standalone FPV Organization firmware anymore which would explain why there have been no firmware updates for that at present for a whole year.

Nice, those are adept news. At least clients get an usable equipament and non a agglomeration of headaches out of the box.
I would love to feel the Hd fpv. I'll wait until DJI actually "proves" that isn't going to cut us off the digital video.

I merely went through the update before and confirm what Snowfall has said.
I had to reboot twice subsequently updating to i.00.0606 in society to see the switch option. (not certain what happened there.) I had to switch to DJI drone mode to come across 1.02.
After updating to 1.02 in DJI drone mode, it showed i.02. Afterwards flipping back to FPV mode, the goggle showed 1.00.0606
Annotation: I haven't updated the caddx vista even so. Even so demand to ready some time aside to complete the build.
Edit: verbiage.
